Beatrice Feldmann, COT has been working in the Ophthalmology field for over eleven years. She began her career as an Optometric technician in 1990 until the doctor she was working for suggested she try her hand in the medical field as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA). After a year under the supervision of an Ophthalmologist and mentor, Beatrice received her first level of certification in Ophthalmology, COA. After a few more years of advanced training and education, Beatrice received certification under the Joint Commission of Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology as a Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT). Over the last few years, she has continued to advance her skills as a COT by obtaining certification on different ophthalmic surgical and diagnostic equipment and procedures, including certification for the latest technology in the Lasik field. Beatrice has been working alongside Dr. Paveloff since 1996. Born and raised in Kern County, she graduated high school in Bakersfield and attended CSUB with scholarships from the Mason.s Bakersfield Chapter and from an organization designed to advance Hispanic youth. Beatrice moved to Santa Barbara in 1991 where she met her future husband. Outside of work, Beatrice is a proud wife and mother to identical twin boys born March 2003. Andriana Escamilla, COA has been working in the ophthalmology field for over 5 years. She began her career in Ophthalmology as a receptionist and within six months time was promoted to Surgery Coordinator. After working with Dr. Paveloff for 4 years, Andriana began her studies to become a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant. With support, training, and sponsorship from Dr. Paveloff and a mentor, Andriana received her Ophthalmic Assistant certification in 2002. Aside from her duties as a technician, Andriana also heads up Dr. Paveloff.s Botox Clinic and continues to work with patients in coordinating their surgery schedules. Andriana has been working with Dr. Paveloff since 1998. Laura Gaona has been a receptionist in the medical field for 2 years. She has been coordinating surgeries and the office schedules for Dr. Paveloff for just over one year. Prior to that, she has worked closely with the public in other businesses in the Santa Barbara Community. Laura is a hard-working single mother of two young very active teenagers.
