ReSTOR, ReZOOM & Crystalens

Previously the goal of cataract surgery was to restore distance vision with a monofocal lens. Typically, the patient would require reading glasses following the procedure. With the recently FDA approved multifocal and accommodative lenses, our goal is to enhance your full range of vision, minimizing or even eliminating your dependence on glasses, including reading glasses and bifocals.

As with all three lenses, the ReSTOR Lens is a premier lens offering state-of-the-art technology. Clinical studies have shown that 80% of patients receiving the ReSTOR Lens no longer require glasses for any activity. This includes reading, driving and even playing sports. Patients have been so satisfied with their results that 94% stated, if given the choice, would have the ReSTOR Lens implanted again. The ReSTOR Lens may also be ideal for patients who do not like monovision. Aside from patients with cataracts, the ReSTOR Lens is suitable for people who are not LASIK candidates, and for patients who are farsighted with moderate to severe Presbyopia.

The ReZOOM Multifocal Lens is another excellent option for cataract patients. This second-generation, multifocal IOL can dramatically reduce the need for bifocals or trifocals following cataract surgery. Clinical studies show that 92% of patients receiving the ReZOOM Lens "never," or "occasionally," need to wear glasses.

Crystalens, is a monofocal lens, that works naturally with the muscles of the eye, optimally providing the quality of vision you enjoyed when you were younger. The revolutionary design of Crystalens incorporates "hinges" designed to allow the lens to accommodate to focus on objects near, far and all distances considered intermediate. FDA clinical studies report that 92% could see 20/25 or better at distance, 96% could see 20/20 at arm's length and 73% could see 20/25 at near without glasses or contact lenses.
